Services are becoming more scalable. And that\u2019s exactly why the rare becomes valuable: a place where life \u201cfeels good\u201d without having to translate it into an Excel sheet first. Experience is the new currency \u2013 not because people have suddenly become superficial, but because (almost) everything else can now be ordered via app.<\/p>\n<p>On top of that: the \u201cthird places\u201d are back. Places that are not home and not work \u2013 but still produce belonging. In the past: club, pub, regulars\u2019 table, studio, caf\u00e9. Today: often just feed. And the feed delivers a lot \u2013 just no real commitment. Anyone who reads this as a business model does not read \u201centertainment\u201d. They read: time, security, ritual, community, predictability.<\/p>\n<p>And this is where it gets exciting: What happens if we think of this principle as a club \u2013 once \u201cdesigned for\u201d men, once \u201cdesigned for\u201d women \u2013 without falling into the most intellectually convenient trap: crude stereotypes?<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why \u201cmen\u2019s\u201d and \u201cwomen\u2019s\u201d at all \u2013 and how do you prevent stereotyping?<\/h2>\n<p>The honest answer: you usually arrive at gender-specific design first through observation. The dangerous answer: you then stop at gut feeling. The goal is therefore not \u201cmen like X, women like Y\u201d. The goal is: repeatable, testable design decisions that better serve certain preference clusters \u2013 while remaining open to diversity within each group.<\/p>\n<p>A framework that does this cleanly:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD): functional, social, emotional<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Functional: What is supposed to be solved practically? (e.g. \u201cI want to switch off for 90 minutes without planning hell.\u201d)<\/li>\n<li>Social: What is it supposed to signal about me \u2013 or not? (e.g. \u201cI don\u2019t want to seem awkward while doing it.\u201d)<\/li>\n<li>Emotional: What is supposed to feel different afterwards? (e.g. \u201cI want to feel competent\/light\/connected.\u201d)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Context factors instead of identity essentialism<br \/>Often it\u2019s not \u201cwho you are\u201d but \u201cwhat life you are currently in\u201d that decides resonance:<br \/>time budget, mental load, safety\/privacy, social risks, dress code pressure, \u201calone vs. group\u201d, predictability, travel logic, childcare logistics, need for recovery.<\/li>\n<li>Preference clusters instead of \u201cgender = fate\u201d<br \/>In this simulation game, gender is at most a proxy, not the cause. More useful is: naming clusters that can statistically correlate more often \u2013 without claiming they are natural. The club is not a manifesto, but a lab with a good atmosphere.<\/li>\n<li>Explicitly build in diversity<br \/>\u201cDesigned for\u201d does not mean \u201conly for\u201d. A men\u2019s experience club can have guests of all genders \u2013 but the default design (rituals, language, modules, rules) is optimized for certain clusters. The same applies to the women\u2019s club. That would not be a contradiction. That would be product development.<\/p>\n<p>CTA: Which three modules would you absolutely expect in a \u201cdesigned for\u201d club \u2013 and which would you immediately cut because they smell like clich\u00e9?<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TLDR (ultra short)<\/h2>\n<p>Experience is becoming currency because products and digital services are becoming interchangeable \u2013 and good places are rare. Two \u201cdesigned for\u201d clubs (men\u2019s \/ women\u2019s) can be developed without slipping into stereotypes if you work with JTBD, context factors and preference clusters. Both concepts use the same mechanics (rituals, bundles, community, predictability) but set different default routes.
